    Friendly Visitors

Volunteering as a friendly visitor is a deeply rewarding experience that not only brightens the day of residents but also enriches your own life in profound ways. By spending just a few hours a week chatting, playing games, or simply sharing stories with residents, you can make a significant impact. Your companionship can bring joy and comfort to those facing memory challenges, fostering a sense of connection and belonging that is invaluable.

    Engagement and Activities

Whether it's organizing arts and crafts sessions, playing music, or simply taking walks to water the flowers, your time and effort with our residents can brighten their day and enhance their quality of life. Come up with your own activity or simply help us with the activities of the day. Check out our calendar https://www.rph.org/activities to see what’s planned.

Share your Talents – Entertainment and Exercise

Whether you enjoy singing, playing musical instruments, or dancing, your talents can create memorable and enjoyable experiences for the elders. Or maybe you want to share your love for yoga, start a walking club or lead a chair exercise group. Your presence not only lifts spirits but fosters a sense of connection and joy that brightens our elder's day. By sharing your time and talents, you're offering more than just entertainment or physical fitness – you're creating meaningful moments that enrich their lives and remind them of the joy of shared experiences. Children and groups are also welcome, so if you are involved in a dance studio, choir or scout troop, consider our elders a built-in audience for your rehearsals (or just for fun!).

    Spiritual Programming

Whether you offer prayers, lead a Bible Study, sing hymns or simply provide a comforting presence, your compassionate support can bring solace and reassurance to residents facing memory challenges. Your willingness to listen can provide comfort and strength to our elders with memory impairment.
