Assisted Living /Early Stage Memory Care

The Elders residing within the “It Takes Two” family need support and assistance to maintain their independence and health while pursuing an active lifestyle.

All of these residents need assistance with medication management and health supervision. Some need assistance with showering and personal care. Elders living in our 2nd floor residence dine in our main dining room and attend activities and outings that are offered throughout the Homestead.

Mid-Stage Memory Care

The Elders who are part of the Home Away From Home Family demonstrate a moderate memory impairment and need 1:1 assistance within their daily routine.

All of these Elders receive assistance with medication management, health supervision, bathing, dressing, and, if needed, help with managing incontinence.

Meals and activities are provided within the 3rd floor residence to offer consistency and simplicity to the daily routine in an environment that is familiar and comforting.

Advanced Stage Memory Care & Enhanced Care

The Penthouse Sweets family lives in our 4th floor residence. These Elders demonstrate significant memory loss that has compromised their functional abilities.

All of these residents need care and assistance in all aspects of daily life.

Enhanced Care is also offered for Elders living in the 4th floor residence who require assistance with mobility, management of emotional or behavioral challenges and/or assistance with eating.

** Our Memory Care residences are licensed by the Department of Health as Special Needs Assisted Living Residences (SNALR). The 4th floor has an additional license as an Enhanced Care Assisted Living Residence (EALR).

Amenities at The Homestead

On the 1st floor we have a main dining room, private dining area, assembly room, chapel, and living room. Just a short walk down the hall brings one to Don & Norma’s, our old-fashioned ice cream parlor. There is easy access to the great outdoors, with our secured  patio, outside walking path, and vegetable and flower gardens. On the lower level are our fitness center, arts and crafts room, and beauty salon.

A bus, a van, and lots of volunteers make community outings a regular part of residential life – destinations include social and cultural events, restaurants, picnics at the beach, shopping, and rides in the country.
